Great picture of the Eta Carinae nebula by the HORUS setup and some good news about OSIRIS!

We are proud to present you with a new shot of the Eta Carinae nebula taken with our setup number two, HORUS.

The image was taken by combining data in Halpha, OIII and finally RGB colors.

Exposure consists of the following:

Halpha: 6 hours

OIII: 7.5 hours

Red: 1 hour 14 min

Green: 1 hour 20 min

Blue: 1 hour 20 min

Image data acquired in automatic mode from the outstanding skies of Chile at Deep Sky Chile observatory with the help of Prism software.

Data and processing with Pixinsight by Phillip Esce this last week.

We can't wait to have our larger setup OSIRIS with its 750mm of aperture take the same area of the southern sky!

OSIRIS is in its final stage of construction, the structure is fully assembled , the primary mirror is ready to be put in its cell, rotator, digital focuser and off axis guider are standing by for the shipment of the prime focus corrector which should be ready in a few weeks and c oming from France.

We will keep you updated in a future blog with new pictures of the astrograph before its shipment to Chile.
